Andrew Li-Yung Hing, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained physician specializing in primary care sports medicine with an emphasis on the full care of the active person, from the common cold and health maintenance to the nonoperative treatment of sports-related injuries and injury prevention. His clinical interests include ultrasound-guided procedures, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and the management of chronic tendinopathy and arthritis. Certified in imPACT training, Li-Yung Hing also provides evaluation and management of concussions. Li-Yung Hing is currently the University of St. Thomas team physician and provides coverage for several area high schools and community events, including the IRONMAN triathlon. He’s also an associate professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Li-Yung Hing is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, the International Institute for Race Medicine, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Harris County Academy of Family Physicians.
